We headed out to Sunshine on Thursday to help a Mercedes owner who needed a spare key cut and programmed. These jobs are pretty common with Mercedes vehicles — the keys need to be both mechanically cut to the blade profile and then programmed to communicate with the car’s immobiliser system, so it’s not something a regular hardware store can handle.
We carried out the full job on-site in Sunshine, cutting the key and running the programming through our diagnostic equipment right there at the vehicle. Everything went smoothly and the new spare was tested and working before we left. If you drive a Mercedes anywhere around Sunshine or the surrounding western suburbs and need a spare key, we can usually take care of it in a single visit.
