We headed out to Merricks Beach on Monday to cut and program a spare key for a Volkswagen. The owner had no spare and wanted one sorted before they needed it in a pinch — always a smart move. We carried out the full job on-site, cutting the blade to match and then programming the new key to the vehicle’s immobiliser so it would start reliably. Merricks Beach is a bit of a run for us but we make the trip regularly enough. The Volkswagen was done in a single visit with no need to tow it anywhere or leave anything behind. Straightforward job, everything completed roadside, and the customer drove away with a working spare in hand.
